You can discover some new interesting places in your native country. For example, the Dniester canyon, which purpose included in list the seven wonders of Ukraine: it is one of the longest, not only here but also in Europe (length 250 km), and perhaps one of the most picturesque. The Dniester river slowly carries its waters surrounded by high, verdant banks, and then presenting its guests with surprises: the opportunity to admire the waterfalls, ruins of ancient castles, Islands similar to the characters "Yin" and "Yang", red-listed grey Heron, enjoy a swim in the emerald water and fishing — are found in the river Chub, madder, catfish and even sturgeon.
RIVER TRANSPORT.
With all these bonuses the canyon is popular with tourists. At their disposal there are several options of boats: kayaks, catamarans consist of two huge inflatable "bananas") and a double-Decker boat with a paddle wheel, as if descended from the pages of a book by Mark TWAIN "Old times on the Mississippi". Ukrainian engineers have refined the old technology, so it can go in places where the water depth reaches only 25 cm, and to approach at any point, interested passengers the day the ship passes 20-40 km). On Board can accommodate 12 passengers. There is a Banquet hall, three cabins with shower / toilet — in General, a real floating hotel and restaurant. By the way, the cuisine here is excellent. Right in front of you on the grill installed over the water, the fish can be prepared grilled, barbecue, cook soup from fresh catch, and for dessert strudel served with fruits, baked by the cook on the ship.
OPTIONS.
If there is possible to stay in cabins, kayak tours and catamaran involve the overnight in tents (equipment for this is provided by the organizers). You can spend the night in the hotel, returning to the starting point of the journey: Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi or Khmelnitsky (canyon flows through the territory of 4 regions, and tours can begin in different places). For the trip on the boat, for example, we traveled from Kiev to Ivano-Frankivsk, and from there by car (about 60 km) to the Rakovets village, which has a small port. By the way, I advise you to take at least a day in Ivano-Frankivsk. Here you can stroll through the old part of the city, where there is the Market Square with the town hall; go through the "hundred-meter" — section from Assembly square to the street of Ivan Franko, where are concentrated shops and cafes; take a picture next to wrought-iron sculptures, which in many after the Holidays Kuznetsov" (a festival held annually in may).
