A major scandal has erupted in Hungary over a property linked to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, located in Hatvanpuszta. A drone video recently surfaced online, clearly showing the scale of the estate. The Prime Minister insists it is nothing more than his father’s “farm,” according to the Hungarian outlet Telex.
Independent MP Ákos Hadházy organized a protest and a symbolic tour of the property, which is officially owned by Orbán’s father. Due to heavy police and security presence, participants could only glimpse inside from a ladder. To determine whether the site truly operates as a farm or serves as a lavish residence, the estate was filmed from the air.
The new footage reveals that one of the buildings is clearly used as a residential home. Hadházy also shared photos taken about four years ago: under one of the park’s pathways lies a heating cable system that eliminates the need to clear snow in winter, while the surface itself is made from premium paving stones.
Other images show an underground tunnel connecting the buildings. “If this is really an agricultural facility, it’s a very unusual one…” the MP remarked sarcastically. The pictures were taken by a former worker who quit shortly after being hired, claiming he found the atmosphere “repulsive.”
According to the worker, the underground passage is lined with brick and encased in reinforced concrete walls about 60 centimeters thick — something visible even on satellite images. Photos of the estate’s interiors are rare; HVG published only one image, taken during the construction of a library with a gallery and coffered ceiling.
Hadházy claims staff are forced to hand over their phones upon entry and are intimidated. He has seen other, more revealing images from inside, but the photographer fears going public. The MP insists with absolute certainty that the tunnels and road section shown in the footage match the real location, confirmed by identical borders, shapes, and surroundings.
