Due to Russia's large-scale aggression, approximately 10% of Ukraine’s housing stock has been destroyed or damaged.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has instructed relevant authorities to develop effective mechanisms to promote housing construction, reports "Interfax-Ukraine."
“Thanks to the affordable mortgage program ‘eOselia,’ 15,000 Ukrainian families have already purchased their own homes. Among them are military personnel, doctors, and teachers. This highlights the importance of such initiatives, so in 2025, we will continue financing them,” Shmyhal stated on his Telegram channel following a meeting on the restoration of the housing sector and mortgage lending stimulation.
According to the Prime Minister, around 10% of Ukraine’s housing stock has been destroyed or damaged due to the ongoing war, making it necessary to develop new measures for its restoration and expansion.
“Relevant authorities have been tasked with creating effective mechanisms to stimulate housing construction, which will enable more Ukrainian families to acquire their own homes on favorable terms,” Shmyhal emphasized.
