Banking institutions have issued about 1000 mortgage loans in October this year. In just 10 months of 2021, banks issued almost 9 thousand mortgage loans, the total amount is more than UAH 7 billion.
Compared to the same period in 2020, new mortgage lending has doubled in terms of the number of contracts and 2.5 times in monetary terms.
Loans for the purchase of secondary real estate have grown significantly in quantitative terms, their share is about 90% of all issued mortgage loans. At the same time, the mortgage lending market still remains highly concentrated: 90% of all transactions were concluded by only five Ukrainian banks.
