Since the opening of the land market in Ukraine, almost 57 thousand agreements have been concluded within the framework of the land market, for a total amount of UAH 2.5 billion.
In terms of the area of land sold, the leaders are the following regions - Kharkiv (20,241 ha), Kirovograd (15,686 ha) and Dnepropetrovsk (12,853 ha).
By the number of transactions, the leaders are Kharkiv (5586), Kiev (4298) and Poltava (4282) regions. If we compare the regions in terms of the total value of the land sold, then most of the money was raised in the Kiev region (UAH 534 million), Kharkiv (UAH 388 million), Poltava (UAH 192 million).
It is worth recalling that the land market was opened on July 1 this year. Until 2024, only citizens of Ukraine can buy agricultural land, while the limitation is 100 hectares.
The law prohibits foreign citizens from buying land. This issue is planned to be resolved at a state referendum.
