Home insurance: why you need it, features

In Ukraine, the insurance of apartments and houses is not yet in great demand. Many are used to relying on themselves and thinking that natural disasters, force majeure or robbery raids will happen to someone else. Unforeseen situations cannot be prevented; it is much easier to avoid the serious financial damage associated with them. This is possible if you take out a home insurance policy.

This service is an opportunity to protect yourself from the loss of everything acquired over the years. Natural disasters, flooding due to neighbors, robberies lead to large financial losses. But if the property is insured, the person will receive payment within the amount specified in the contract. This will be the reimbursement of all expenses.

What can be insured

The policy is issued for any apartment or residential building. They can refuse to sign the contract if the building is dilapidated, in an emergency, dilapidated state, and has rotted ceilings. You cannot insure an apartment in a house that has not been commissioned by the developer or the one where the renovation is currently underway. The service does not apply to unauthorized, unauthorized buildings.

The most relevant insurance is for apartments in new buildings, purchased from the developer, or country cottages, houses immediately after the completion of construction. Living space in a new building is most often at risk of being damaged, as in many neighboring ones, renovations are being carried out in parallel. If the property was purchased with a mortgage, then it is often offered to draw up an appropriate contract additionally on favorable terms.

This service also applies to old apartments purchased in the secondary housing. Any unpleasant situation can happen to them - flooding, fire, explosion of household gas. Eliminating all losses without reimbursement is not cheap, even if you are the injured party in the event of a flood. If you have a policy, all financial problems are solved much faster and easier.

What risks are covered

Upon concluding the relevant contract, the insurance company compensates for the costs associated with the following situations:

• natural disasters. These are hurricanes, storms, fires, lightning strikes, storms. Any of these disasters can lead to partial damage to the building or its complete destruction;
