The Kharkiv region for the first time presented its tourism potential at an international exhibition in Poland.
The director of the regional municipal institution "Kharkiv Organizational and Methodological Center of Tourism" Valentina Kholodok told reporters about this, reports Ukrinform.
“The Warsaw’s largest 26th international tourism exhibition TT Warsaw has just finished in Warsaw, with over 500 exhibitors from 45 countries. The high level of the exhibition was provided by the Polish Ministry of Tourism and the Polish Tourist Information Center,” Kholodok said.
According to her, for the first time, the best tourist routes were presented by 10 Ukrainian cities and regions, among which are the Kharkiv region, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopol, Volyn, Odeschyna, Bukovina, etc.
"The organizer of the national stand of Ukraine is the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. On the whole, the exposition area was 25 meters. The concept is based on a new philosophy, which is based on the Ukraine NOW slogan," explained Kholodok.
According to her, the Ukrainian exposition was visited by the Minister of Sports and Tourism of Poland, Witold Banka. During the meeting, it was about the implementation of joint projects to promote and attract European Union funds for the development of tourist destinations in both countries.
“A variety of printing products were placed on the stand of Kharkiv region. Also, the first show of the new tourist promotion was held here, which is a color digest of tourist attractions of Kharkiv region,” Kholodok emphasized.
According to her, in the Kharkiv region there are up to fifty tourist routes, and a third of them were developed by specialists of the regional organizational and methodological center of tourism.
