Spring is a time when you want to leave your lairs and open new horizons. And let the impending cooling do not stop you: according to the promises of the weather forecasters, it will not be long. In front of us is a growing column of thermometer - it's time to plan a relaxation vacation. To facilitate this task, we went to Transcarpathia and learned how you can get rid of fatigue in just three days.
As any route in this region is logical to start with Uzhgorod, the local advise immediately to think over the dates of the visit. If you want to stroll through the streets of the old city to May, it is worth to book hotel rooms now. After all, cherry blossoms fall out for this period, and thousands of tourists from all over the country, as well as Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia come to admire them.
UZHGOROD: MINI SCULPTURES AND REID TO FESTIVITIES
The first point of our trip is Uzhgorod, it is from here that it is most convenient to travel to other tourist places of the Transcarpathian region. He got his name not because of the abundance of snakes, but thanks to the river Uzh (which means "South" in Hungarian), along which the city stretches. Walking along the embankment is an obligatory point of the orientation program, especially as you will see a lot of charming mini-sculptures along it. For example, you will smile the tiniest in Europe brave Svejk or miniature-pyshechka - a copy of the Statue of Liberty. Local residents are advised in addition to sightseeing (visit the Uzhgorod Castle or the most beautiful Bozdosh park) to arrange a tour of the pubs. Each self-respecting pub has its own brewery, where they prepare a unique kraft beer. There are more than twenty such people here, while the city's population is only 115,000 people. And local people are very proud of their coffee. "Yes, there is good coffee in Lviv, but we can not cook it there," our guide jokes.
BOGRACH, HONEY AND DOCTOR
Transcarpathia is known for its wines: here the elite Austrian seedlings of grapes have perfectly taken root. Especially local winemakers are proud of their white wine. But not only wine tastings are famous for the region. In the village of Botar Vinogradovsky region, go to the tasting of the lekvar (this jam, which is often made from plums) and jam from the bramble (90 UAH). And in Mukachevo's "Honey House" try honey from Transcarpathian plants: eating delicious things here comes under the excursion into the world of striped hard workers (70 UAH). In restaurants, be sure to order a local specialist bograch (there are several kinds of meat and a lot of paprika) and different kinds of Transcarpathian sausages.
MUKACHEVO: TOURS ON CHIMNEYS
One of the oldest cities in Ukraine - Mukachevo - deserves an escape from gray everyday life for the whole weekend. Be sure to take a local guide (on average, his services will cost 300 UAH): he will stop you almost at every step and tell you what and when the outstanding happened at the stopping place. I, for example, smiled the history of the clock at the Town Hall. Now they are working with Swiss precision, and the reason is the trial of one merchant. He once missed the train and did not manage to conclude a profitable deal because he was guided by the hours not working at the Town Hall. He sued the city and won it, and since then to maintain the accuracy of their work is a task of urban importance. And in the block from the Town Hall you can meet a local capricious lady - cherry blossom, which blooms on its own schedule: when in May, and when in February.
Even in the city there is a unique tour of ... chimneys! Take her along the trails of the local legend - the chimney sweep of Bertalon Tovt, who was installed a monument during his life in the heart of the city for what he devoted more than 50 years to this work. By the way, this monument is a happy one: it brings luck to all who rub the button. And Bertalon himself can also be found on the streets of the city: he is still cleaning chimneys.
Not far from Mukachevo there is a village Chinadievo, where you should go for an evening excursion around the castle of Saint Miklos. Here you will be led literally through walls. The fact is that when the castle was built, secret passages were made within its walls, and now it is possible to walk through them. The cost of an individual excursion is 200 UAH, group excursion - 30 UAH.
Cosin: LECIMING DEPRESSION OF "IGRIST"
We go to the village of Kosino, Berehovsky district, to the resort "Thermal waters" Kosino. "In this area, from the depth of 1190 m, a geyser hits, and water enters the pools with a temperature of 40-45 degrees, by the way, they are made with fiction. One has a large cup of coffee and there is a coffee aroma in the air, and you can dip into the delicate smell of sparkling wine in the area where there is a huge bottle of foaming "champagne." In addition, there is a huge "sink": a large funnel where you can swim on the wave .
Kosinsky thermal waters will help in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular and nervous systems. It is checked up on itself: for 40 minutes of stay in pool I have disappeared weariness which has appeared after moving, and the mood has improved. As the nurse told, many of these waters help to get rid of depression. Three hours of therapeutic pleasure will cost 150 UAH. But it is not allowed to everyone: contraindications - any illnesses in the stage of exacerbation.
LUMPSHORY: FIRE AND WATER
The village of Lumshory is located near the water source, which is very useful in the heated state. It is filled with a vat, under it kindle a fire, and here in this "saucepan" and you need to dive. The water temperature is 40 ° C, and it is recommended to stay within 40 minutes. After that you can plunge into the icy mountain river. Will go all this extreme at 450 UAH with everyone who wants to get cooked in a common boiler.
