The popular resorts of the Carpathians already "in the foot"

In the tour operator companies record significantly increased interest in recreation in Western Ukraine. "If last year in the high date, you could still find available rooms at hotels even in the last days of December, now almost all the accommodation facilities in the popular resorts of the region are already "in the foot", – said the Director of the Kiev branch of the group of companies "Kandahar" Svetlana Shust.

However, note that travel companies will benefit from this slightly. Despite the fact that the number of bookings in Western Ukraine is also growing (the CEO of one of the largest agent networks "Come with us," Oleg Kulik noted double-digit growth of sales by region for the last two months compared with last year), the main flow in the region is still at the expense of direct selling. Market participants noted that hoteliers prefer to keep the partnership with the tour operators to a minimum, selling their best rooms direct to customers and significantly reducing commissions to travel industry representatives on the remaining. "One can understand them, because the demand for their services is still there: the Ukrainians enough to buy a train ticket or to get to destinations with their own transport," – said one of the interlocutors.

One of the main arguments is the price. Judging by the search and booking of hotels, a weekly holiday in Bukovel new year date starts from 5-6 thousand hryvnia for two. Even taking into account transportation costs and surcharges for new year's eve dinner is much cheaper than the price of the tour package, for example, in Egypt on the same date, which, judging by the prices for tour operator sites will cost at least 20 thousand hryvnia for two (and most of the time with a power system, EXPLOSIVES and drugs). Even fewer want to relax in European resorts: the devaluation of the hryvnia and thinned this segment. The desire to save has become a major trend and for those who chose the Carpathians. "Among incoming requests, there have been more requests to pick up the rest just for two or three days. And they apply not only to vacation dates, but in General the entire winter period", – said the Deputy Director of tour operator "Trident" Tatiana Nikolishin.
