Due to the devaluation of the hryvnia, Ukraine became cheap country for foreigners.
Have a coffee, take a ride on the subway and taxis and even spend the night in a hotel in Kiev with two, or even three times cheaper than in Paris, Warsaw, and even in Moscow.
However, this situation does not attract crowds of tourists - they are afraid of war.
"I often visit in Kiev. In his last visit, two weeks ago, was blown away by the prices in hotels and restaurants. I changed it to UAH 200 euros, lived on them four days and a little bit of money brought back! Of course, this is apart of, but it was very cheap, considering that it was a room in the city centre with a huge bed, panoramic views and a big red bath. It cost 900 UAH per day, and it's only 28 euros! A room of the same class in the centre of Milan is worth at least 100 euros, " says Italian tourist Francesco.
He adds that dinner at an expensive restaurant on the Maidan had cost him 15 euros (500 UAH): "In Milan it would be worth 50-60 euros. When I returned, my wife decided that in the spring we will go to you in the Carpathians. I am sure that we will be able to live in the most expensive hotel and will spend a minimum of money. Friends also told about your wonderful prices, but they are afraid to go."
Experts say that if not for the war, with the same rate in Ukraine would be a real tourist boom.
"I think he will start, when things quiet down. The prices for rooms in hotels, eating in restaurants, entertainment - all this is now in terms of Euro penny. For foreigners it is a Paradise. The only thing on the shopping to us unlikely go - there are other countries", - said the Director of the tourist information Centre Vladimir Tsaruk.
However, according to him, now tourists enjoy the benefits of the low rate of hryvnia gently: "In Kiev hotels are half empty, but in the Carpathians actively go and now - from Poland, Hungary, Belarus, from Germany".
